Thank’s for dropping by, I am an Agile Coach/Consultant specialising in Digital transformation and Business change. With over 20 years experience, I have supported organisations of every shape and size, from the smallest digital shops to the worlds largest banks across the globe.

Agile the buzzword, the first thing we need to do is address the ‘buzzword‘ thing. It’s cool, we hear it every day, but that’s not what I’m about and it’s most certainly the last thing you need to be about. So I’m going to be crystal clear, I can’t offer the silver-bullet, I can’t pretend I’m going to fix things and because of that we need to understand how this magic ‘Agile’ thing works;) To start, we need to replace the word I for we.

We are going to do great things together. We will make transparency a good thing. We will make openness a part of the culture and build around it a core set of behaviours that make our customers, staff, teams and organisations successful… This is one heck of a change and our goal is to create, nurture and feed an environment that not only reduces operational cost but improves lead time, throughput and much much more…

As an Agile Coach, there is an urgent need to listen. Adopting a stance of asking the right questions at the right time empowers people to engage. Too often, solutions are discussed before understanding the problem. Worse still, we sometimes see solutions being created when there isn’t a problem. To me, this is the fine art of coaching…

Peeling back the crap, dropping the lingo-bingo, ditching the pointless anecdotes and kicking into touch the metaphors, that’s my style. Many years ago I started out as a young soldier in the British Army. I was taught to keep things short, simple and relevant. In short, speaking bull alienates and that’s just not my style. In fact, it’s fair to say I’m not always going to tell you the things you want to hear, so let’s get that clear. What I will say however will be based on fact, analysis and the impact of your actions, good and bad.

My role is to lead you away from the pitfalls of bad practice. Together with an approach of, I wish to be coached, we can achieve great things. We can learn from poor choices and keep doing the good things, with practice we become expert and that’s our goal because we are going to be better tomorrow than we were today. Our passion will be addictive and others will join our cause.

We will measure our value, celebrate success and learn from our drawbacks, this is about behaviours and our legacy will speak for itself. So let’s reduce cost, increase our throughput and release the box of tricks our customers want.
